I started training horses at a young age, helping my friend Bryan Neubert with his clinics at his house. When I realized this was something I wanted to do as a living , I started training anything I could get my hands on. My learning years consist of time training and giving lessons, cowboying, roping and starting more colts than I can count.
Patience is everything, and pressure and release allows the horse to understand what your are asking more clearly.
Our family moved to Illinois where we got our foot into the cutting world training for some excellent Nonpros. We stayed for multiple years starting cutting horses from top bloodlines. That job developed skills I use now in training cutters and cowhorses from start to finish. We moved to southeast Oklahoma where we’ve been since 2017.
The majority of my showing consists of WCHA (World Cutting Horse Association) and NCHA (National Cutting Horse Association) Events although I do enjoy showing at some NRCHA (National Reined Cowhorse Events) and ranch horse versatility shows as well.
By training and showing, I have learned to make gear that makes it more clear to the horse what you are asking and what you want. Consistency yields a better product and my gear is designed to get a clear signal every time.
. I enjoy making gear and all these pieces are made by me.
If you have an idea, feel free to get in touch with me regarding a pice of gear that you’d like made. I’d be happy to work on a new project and build something you will like and use. .
From training horses myself, I’ve developed quality handmade tools for you to use on your horses. Everything I make, I’ve used on a horse to see how I like the feel. Check out our products to see what we have to offer or contact us with your ideas.
